I have no knowledge of solar I've got a couple of generators.  LOL

The motor home is totally self contained.  Has it's own generator.
and we had a portable generator for the travel trailer.  Both of them have built in inverters also.

After the motor home comes out of warranty I'd love to add a solar panel system.

Karl, you don't have to mess with the warranty / System you can get Suit Case type systems that just clip on with jump Leads / Booster Cables, Look at this One, This is quite large but you can get them in 60w  80w  and 100watt, where a fitted system comes in to its own is when you have it parked in your Yard, It keeps the Battery Bank Full Up and ready to go at A moments notice, and that Brief Case one works well when you at a place for A Few Days and they can put out about 70 Amps per day and the worst they will put out is about 6 Amps,

My other idea is I am going to get a wind generator as A 3rd option Back up coz Solar don't work at Night but wind Does, Nothing big Just about 22 inches across, /300 watts??

Well with my Truck I use to use A solar panel On The Dash when it was Parked on the Drive not in use, so it kept the batteries charge but it must be fitted with its own regulator (Ask For One With it Built in) because if not they can kill Batteries,

But the reason I used it was because the Alarm system can and will eat your Batteries even more so in Winter, I would not like to replace your batteries every other month.

Cool, Just watch them little solar panels coz without a regulator they can and DO put out about 22.6 Volts and they will Kill your batteries, so check it with a multi meter.

I killed 2 sete of batteries before I found out what the Problem is/was.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.
