Yes, I guess you can, but I suppose you could probably do that with RR's probe too. That is a helpful prospecting tip Homie. Thanks.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I don't know what brand you have mate, but I say keep it and forget the Falcon. 2 of my friends have gotten rid of theirs and had nothing  more to say than that wouldn't buy another one. Besides, .004 ozT is pretty small. It takes an awful lot of them to just get an Oz. It will take you a long time to get rich at that rate. Use a dredge or drywasher if you are expecting to find smaller pieces.

Dusty Carl

It picks it up within 5 to 10mm = 1/4" - 3/8" of an inch, which is not bad considering its running at 36khz.

Is that the .004 ozT piece?  What brand is it?

Found 22 pennies and 4 dimes in the park today (same one) and a UFO crash site. Photo included. No survivors, or else they escaped.
I will post pixes of the coins later. Haven't taken a photo yet.

Yes it is the 0.004ozt piece and it is the Whites Bullseye II, ,,,,  I have always used them But I was going to get the Whites TRX but it runs at around 14/15khz but I don't believe that they are just as sensitive as this one At 36khz

You could take your sample down to the detector store (if you are in reasonable driving distance) and ask if you could test one of them there.

Anyone near Scottsdale Arizona ?
Get that detector ready. When Barrett Jackson leaves town.

it would be a great time to sweep the grounds with your detector.
