Red had both hips replaced. The frist one went well, so he decided to have the other replaced.  He got mrsa (infection) after three surgery's. Had to live without a hip for a year to clear up the damage. That was a bad year!

Dusty Carl ,  so how  many clubs do you belong to?

1 metal detecting club and 1 Prospectors club. The detecting club is "Arizona Treasures Unlimited" and the prospectors club is "Road Runner Prospectors Club". Both in Phoenix AZ. I also belong to several forums including this one. Finding stuff in the dirt and a philosophy of "One mans trash is another mans treasure" keeps me fairly healthy, not too wealthy, and somewhat wise(r).

Dusty Carl

Here's the link to the prospectors club.

Boy, have I got you guys fooled.   Mrs BA thinks I'm nuts and was madder than you know what at me after our last club meeting (she's a member also), but she'll get over it.

She's good like that even if you don't deserve it.  Grin  :Smiley  How's that new Tesoro and 4 x 7 coil working out for you? Did you get a chance to use it? I been working the heck out of mine lately, and getting better at paying attention to how it works in different situations and when to dig or not dig.

Go Up Go Down

I've had it out at a vacant lot downtown and came back with a 1909 Wheatie (too bad I can't find an S mint mark on it).  I also had it out in the desert on some abandoned farmland and came up with a few doodads, a couple of coins, and a lot of copper and brass fittings as well as a pretty piece that looks like it was the medallion off an old purse or handbag.   It has 3 standing greyhounds on leash.   Haven't been able to find it on the 'net yet.   The machine definitely has some good depth to it.  I found the head of a roofing nail at 8 inches (just the head, not the whole nail).   During the same trip the Mrs came out with a 1942 s Merc, a 1916 Wheatie, a WWII era uniform button, and a South Carolina bus token as well as the usual assortment of junk.

BA
