John thats something to be proud of , not every eng builder can build an engine to live up to those standards week-in and week out, that kind of racing is extremly hard on a motor,

I use to run pony class and then the little winged sprint cars, then moved up to modifieds and did some drag racing, I always ran other peoples equipment, usually the builders are not willing to push it as hard cause they know how much time and money went into that equiment, thats where guys like me came along ,
we didn't care and drove it like we stole it.   Grin  Grin ,

I think one of the biggest raciing highlights i have is back at Ft.Carson several guys in the unit built a car for the pikes peak hill climb and me and two other guys time trialed it for the race and i was picked to be the driver for the hill climb , one of the most scenic and deadliest races i have ever competed in, beautifull scenery, but deadly drop offs, no i didnt place but it was cool just to have the oportunity. after that the Mrs. Said NO More, and that ended that,

Now my Daughter married a young man who is also a Driver and had his sponsorship gone thru this year he was going to do the slim jim series and a few of the Craftsman truck races.
But as everyone knows the economy went south and so did all the funding for sponsorships.
with any luck at all the economy will bounce back and he can get sponsorship again.

I lost my rule book.  Could you tell us again what those are?
Went out for catfish all you can eat last night.  Came home got in my jammies, started a fire, talked with my kids long distance.  Posted on this thread but nobody heard me so I watched a repeat episode of Top Shooter and went to bed.  Slept 10 hours, now drinking coffee.  Ahhhhh.    Going out on a supply mission today to find more firewood.  Over and out.
