While in the Military all Clubs on base had Slot Machines.   I would play the Nickel machines.   I would buy a role of Nickels and play them until I had twice my money or the role was gone.  Usually it was gone.   LOL

I didn't win either, Karl. The lottery is a weakness of mine. Bee smoke for those of us that like to dream of obtaining all that wealth and wrecking our lives. I affectionately call the lottery my "stoopid tax" Cheesy

I would buy a role of Nickels .................Back in the day, my father working for TWA was able to get airline tickets 1/2 price. We went to Disneyland when I was around 7. Changing planes in Vegas on the way home my mom gave me a roll of nickels. Was'nt long when I was escorted to the side of the floor and they where paging my parents, lol. Thats back when smoking was permitted on planes. As we got off the plane the attendants allowed me to collect all the little whisky bottles left behind to keep as souvenir's. Good times....Thinking about it....that might of been my frist taste of RUM??  Funny

Yea, the Good ol days of No Political Correctness,  Calling a Ass hole a Ass hole was ok.

In the Air Force your Flight Attendent was the Load Master and you was lucky if he told you the Pisser was in the back of the Plain  Coffee up Font, and Smokem if you got em..    My first flight was at age 5 from Colorado to Turkey.  24 hours of Fun.  The Purdy Lady even gave me a set of wings on Pan Am.  Yep. Coloring book and crayons.  . Shown the Plane with Flaims coming out of the Engines Looking out I never seen the Flaims.   Life was good until I got there.

Yep. I remember the wings. I've still got some TWA playing cards they used to give out. There where around 5 or so different decks with the different planes on them. If I can find any of that stuff I'll post a pic of them. There here somewhere???

I had several set's of twa wings as a kid. Every time dad got stationed overseas we flew with twa
and we always got wings. Who knows what happened to them. Then later on I got my own wings
in the army. I enjoyed flying in helicopters . It's one of the few things I miss to this day.

My dad flew the mail. I still have some of his flight uniforms. One of them I wear ever winter at one time or another. Heavy suckers!! Never understood why he did'nt go on to become a pilot? He injoyed working with his hands hence became a machinist.  The wings I think I still have are plastic but I remember the shiny metal sharp edged ones, lol. I had quite the collection of those little bottles. I'd guess they where a buck a pc. full. Now....5.50 and up and you have to use a credit card, lol.    And...if I played the lotto, and won, first thing I'd build is a helipad in the back yard. Hire the driver, lolol

Grin  yeah I've got a couple of flight suits here that I can't get into any more .
They will make you sweat cause there fire proof.
that was back in my skinny days.   Shocked

don't think I would want my own helicopter.  Think I would just hire one if I needed it.

I had to crew chief a few Huey flights in Korea although that was not my MOS. The OH-58 was a cool machine also. Have to tell you sometime about the time I damn near fell out the door of a Huey...... or the time we did a autorotate and smacked the ground so hard the skid was damaged..   Guess that is why the undies are OD.....
