Well now i bought the MXT in mid june 2010, After a week or two of owning it i took it to a field that a friend invited me to detect on well i spent about 8hrs just finding junk, the field was hard so i took a prospecting pick with me, it took about 20 minates to dig a hole about 5" deep just to find it was a piece of WWII bomb.
I'd had enough after 8hrs so i went home wondering what i was doing wrong,anyway the next day i got a phone call from my mate and he said trust the machine and that i should go to these woods near by. After about a week i decided to go there, the first sweep of the coil within the first foot of the sweep i got a signal and it was ready 55 on the VDI, I dug down 4-5" and there was the big ring it was 9mm wide and the diamond was 4mm across as you can imagine what i was thinking, well i carried on sweeping the line i was on 4-5ft away i got another signal it 6-8 on the VDI, i thought steve is never gonna believe this i started to laugh and thought i need a drink so out came the coffee, After the coffee i put the headphones back on and i thought hang-on i missed a bit about 10" from where i found the first ring, so i swept the coil over the area again and i got another signal i dug down about 3-4" i found the watch chain T-bar, now this was a day that i would never forget. When i got home i did'nt say anything when i got in i just put the rings down next to my other half and walk in to the kitchen and made a coffee. That night i phoned my mate and told and he was shocked too, well i split the value of them with him because if he had'nt kept on at me i'd never have gone there and that mxt300 paid for it's self on the first find. so good luck all round rearly
