Damn, I thought I was suffering! Didn't get to go out yesterday. It was still raining at sundown. Last night the tree frogs kept me awake. When we have a rainy spell they screech like banshees.  Its looking good out there right now. Its 82 degrees outside Humidity 69%.  and the rain stopped about an hour ago. I'm dieing to try out my new repaired Fisher F25. Rider

BA, Phoenix! Nice country, Nice weather most of the time. I lived in Wichita Falls for 10 years. Not so nice. Florida is better but I miss the desert.

Weather here in northeastern Oregon is starting to moderate a little.  Last few days, instead of being in the 100'sF it has started cooling down to around 90F!  I may actually get out on a hunt here soon!

Been a little busy the last few days.  My father-in-law died last Sunday.  He was 87.  Supporting my wife has taken up some time.  Not really involved in planning..his wife is doing most of that.  Funeral is Saturday and that part will all be over with.

I'm still planning on getting out with a detector soon!                         Detecting

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law.   Even at that age, it can hit people pretty hard.   My best to you, your wife, and the family.

BA

Thanks BA and Homie!  Appreciate your remarks.  It's a part of life we all have to live with.

I'm 66 and I always figured the old man would outlive me!  I kinda feel I'm running on borrowed time anyway!             Wise

Yep, my mom died ( Passed On ) at 56.   My dads mom is still alive if you call it that at 99.   If you tell her who you are every 5 minutes she may know you.

My dad seems to be following the same path.

Sorta hard to talk to these days at 75.

If there is a GOD, please only keep me around as long as I know who I am?

Arfie, Sorry for your loss. Borrowed time is what we all live on. The difference between young and old is the young haven't figured that out yet.

Homefire, I can't die yet I've got lots of metal detecting to do.  Detecting

Those guys in South Africa crack me up. They are complaining about the cold weather and posted a picture of snow on the ground. I would love it if we got a little snow here!!! Funny

Oh, right. Thankfully, biology prevents that.

Hey Homie!  That reminds me of the winter it was so cold here in the Oregon mountains.  It was so cold that when I went out and got in my car, when I turned the headlights on the light beams froze solid!   I got the saw out and cut those beams into small chunks and put them in my freezer.  Anytime I needed some extra light I would go to the freezer, get a chunk and let it thaw out.  Plenty of extra light for about two years!          Wise
