Hi guys. Been out to the grandkids softball games. Mostly sat around today like bumps on a log.  Karl after we get some estimates I plan on fix'in the truck and his car myself. Ol  truck needed a paint job anyway. Wish we all lived closer together. We'd have a heck of a block party sounds like?

What kind of spray gun u got ? new top load or old bottom feeder ? ? I did lots of body work back in da day !!

back in my day u wet down the ground tied a chain to the frame and laid the rest on the wet ground it actually helped pull the pain to the car.  when we had more cars to paint than booths to paint in it's what we did.

wish I could still do that stuff.

I think I'd have to push 4 I think it was Homie...lol. Karl, I've been doing it sence I was a kid as a hobby and love it but it is getting tougher. A wonderful hobby turned bussiness that ruined the hobby I tell folks. Devilbiss is the brand I use.  Siphon and gravity feed. I prefer the siphon feed as that is what I grew up using. The  gravity feed uses much less product but lays it on heavy causing one to have to move much faster and thats my problem...lol, moving much faster.

I wet the floor to keep the dust down and made my own paint booth with a attic fan as a ventilation system.

Ahoy mates.  Man I wish I had the talents this group has got.  I always thought being able to do that stuff was cool.  Now it seems like too much work!  I had a tiny shop and refinished furniture at one time just for kicks, but I never knew how it was going to turn out so I always bought garage sale stuff to work on.

Awesome video homie !! wish folks would raise there own kids !!

Cache - I was 14 when I got to spray my first car , loved it and always have, I still have a couple of old binks guns, including an old binks air brush gun,  I haven't got to spray with a new top loader yet, ie gravity feed gun, id like to try but like u ,I believe i move too slow for that.  Grin  Grin  Grin we ever get together I got a photo album of all the cars I painted back in the day.

I worked for 3 Differnent paint shops  who ever had the work is who I worked for that week. it was a great living back then.
Then when i went to join the army had to get a waiver for a spot on my right lung from the imron paint. (mercedes dealership)

back then it was some bad stuff and the protective devices weren't what they are now.

Still wouldnt trade it for nothing though.

Paint come out of the Nozzle Negative Charged. That means Extra Electrons.   Putt 100VDC to Ground + on the Project and it will suck up the Paint.

Like they do for Powder Coated.

Scientifically Speaking.

Why Negative Charge?  Coming out of the Nossal high speed, Sonic it picks up the extra Electrons from the air.

Did you know rain storms do the same.  That's why you can smell rain.  You smell the Negative Ions.

The Rain drops pick up the Negative charge of the extra electrons and the winds bring them before the Rain.

Not every one has a Forward Desert Systems Suport Base, Eaa?

Did you know desert sandstorms can do the same?

If the hair on the back of your nect stands up, it's time for you to lay down on the ground.

Yep Karl, I know many who have had to quit due to the paint they once breathed. Its all about water base now. Its a little to late for me however. I'm sure my lungs look pretty psychedelic by now, lol. If we could just all get together and get Homies van repaired we could paint it like in the 60's, while Homies cook'in and sit in Pats furniture while we ate, drank and shared storys of the good ol days!!
