Yes, Home - I agree with you on this statement. I'm hearing from some of the radio talk-show programs that it's realistically around 17%, but still that's awful. Sorry to hear about your personal situation. What type of work did you do? Have you tried moving to a totally new area/state? Chances are - there's work in a different place - people just need to be flexible. Your home is where you make it. They had an article last week about this couple in Las Vegas and were in construction, and the bottom fell out from underneath them. Well, in addition to all the other mental/emotional problems they had it seemed like they didn't really care about moving and seriously try to get a job elsewhere. I'm guessing that their unemployment check's going to run out too.
There really are no perfect answers here. It's a messy situation that's for sure.
