You guys remember the E-Bike Project ?  Slow but sure all is coming together.  1000W Chiniseium Rated Front Hub Brush-less Motor IN HAND. Motor Controller , One Type Each Wal Mart Beach Cruiser Wide Tire Bicycle..

All I need to do is finish up this battery and compile all into a functional unit.   One of three Batteries is all but complete.

Battery Configuration : 6P 13S  (6 Parallel 13 in Series)  Nominal 48V  @  15Ah  (Closer to 16Ah but I like Positive Fudge Factors)

Cells Reclaimed from Modem Back Up Battery Packs Purchased DIRT CHEAP.  78 cell in total.

Original rating of 2600mAh tested all cells Capacity Tested and proven to be capable of 2400mAh or more. LG 2600 18650 cells .

Time , lots and lots of time but this battery pack is coming in at about 1/3 the cost of a ready made pack of equal or lesser capacity.

Yep, Almost there !

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

We used larger versions of those on the railroad. 72V about 8" x 9" panels. They used them to make an lunch cooler for the engineers. They as I remember were current hogs but as the locos had a couple of megawatt gensets.... was no problem.

LOL, Little out of my range I'm thinking.  Ill be good to get 20 miles a charge I think.  When you think about that that's pretty dang good for a few pounds of cells.

Maybe if I augment the cells pulling a camp trailer covered in solar panels I could get there is a few months ?

Yep, those Peltier Cells are current hogs to be sure.  BUT If ya got the power to run them they do a great job.   Don't take people long to figure out not to leave them running when the truck was turned off.

If you want a hoot,  go to the start of this bike build and watch the whole thing.

As you know my 4x4 Fridge freezer uses not much at all but I also have one of the newer Petlier Coolers that cycles just like a normal fridge and goes down about 54*f / 30*c below the ambient temp and it uses about 8.8 watts an hour   Great

Yep, the new Cooler/Freezers are ahead of the game these days.  Those ol lunch box things killed many a batteries.

Did you notice how wonky the front wheels were on the thing.  Every time they hit a dip in the road it quivered for a spell.  LOL

My butts not that big but I don't think it would stay parked on that bed too long.

Yeah well I have been testing out my 4x4 fridge freezer and you can set the temp down to -18*c / 0*f but it actually goes down beyond -10.5*f,

I opened it after It had cycled a couple of times and Fog came out just like the Mist from a Horror Movie   Huh? It Froze a Glass of water in under 2 hours Most domestic Freezers don't work that well, I am a bit worried about that Mist in there because I think I have a Werewolf living in my fridge, There's a lot of red meat in there so it could be Dracula,

I am too scared to open it now    Shocked    Think I need my Mom   Kiss
