Funny you mention that. Haven't seen a humming bird for several days now. Leaves are starting to fall but I think that is cuz of no rain.... The hurricane will take care of that in a few days here in CT

It's sitting in a box right behind me in pieces. Didn't even populate the board yet!.. Been busy with other projects like cleaning out out crawlspace........ugh.  Found a KW antenna tuner and thought of resurrecting it. Trouble is it has a RF input circuit designed for 1950-60 vintage PI output transmitters which had somewhat wide impedance and the PI circuits could take some mismatch beating and most of the transmitters today with transistor PA are mostly a fixed 50 ohms.  They are not happy campers if the impedance gets too far off. Like Poof!!!oops there goes a $175 transistor!  Any how, thought of using a input tank design that instead of one coil will have a series cap and a 4 pos switch to taps on the coil.  Should allow tuning the input of the tuner for the newer transmitters with fixed impedances.       So... Went on eBay looking a a 330 Pf air variable at 1.5KV and the only stuff around seems to be from Russia and expensive. Finding a 1P4T ceramic switch with good amperage and a 8KV rating seems tough also.       Idea     Maybe have to park this project and get back to the Bara......he he
