Hi guys!  I'm back for a little while anyway.  Been having trouble with my computer.  Have to use my wife's machine for a while.  Not used to it at all!

Sad news at my house about three week ago...  My Best buddy and pal, the REAL Arfie Boy,  my icon picture, had a problem with anxiety and fear on a Sunday night.  I put him outside and he had a lot of trouble walking.  Took him to the vet the next morning and he had suffered a stroke that night.  Since he was almost 14 years old and had other health problems which were supposed to have killed him almost 6 years ago we (wife and I) decided it was time to put him to sleep.  Sure miss the old boy!   Sad  Now have only his daughter left.  She is missing him but adjusting and is almost 12 1/2 years old herself.

I'll be in touch later!

  Snert Snert OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWL !

Sorry to be hearing of your loss of the hairy Kid.  It sucks big time.   One of mine came home last night with tendons showing in the hind leg.  Looks like she found some Barb Wire.

Nothing liberal amounts of peroxide and time can't fix.

It's always heartbreaking when our pets pass. Maybe you can find some solice in knowing that all dogs go to Heaven.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Arfy, mate, so sorry to hear of your loss. They become part of the family so easily and we know it's not going to end well for them. Yet we do it. We love them.

Thanks for the condolences, guys.

Homie:  OOOO!  Liberal amount of peroxide?  That hurts me just hearing about it...  poor puppy girl!   Yes, Hairy kid is sorely missed...  But lots of great memories!

Carl:  I also believe "all dogs go to heaven" and if they don't I don't want to be there either!

GD:  I was thinking of that very quote you stated when I read Carl's post!  Great minds think alike I guess!  Although I was thinking it was a Mark Twain quote.

Again, Thanks!   And the hairy kid is going to remain my cool icon!

We lost our oldest Labrador (aged 16) in March. I keep seeing the "ghost dog" wherever he used to hang. Favorite bush, favorite path, favorite napping spot and favorite "sleeping in the sun" spot. I surely do miss that old boy.

Sorry to hear about your canine pal, GD.  Anybody with a pet understands.  And yes, Homie, it sure doesn't take long for the little furries to imprint themselves on somebody who cares!  Meaning us!

Sorry to hear about the pups, Arfie, G.D. and Homie. Have had quite a few come and go, all unique and all welcome, all missed.
