A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Go Up Go Down

Well back 5 or 6 years ago either you or Karl posted a picture of a Bounty Hunter "Red Baron" and from that moment on I always want one of the Old machines well I Won the bidding on an Old Whites 5900 Di Pro Plus, Anyways the Owner bought it New and he never used it so he said it has sat in his loft for 20 years well I phoned Whites in Scotland and they Told me It was Made In July 1989 so it is 27 years old and there is not a mark on it, and it has the New ( At That Time ) 950 Doughnut Coil ,

Well when it cooled down outside I went and bought some Batteries  and This thing must be the most powerful VLF ever made in All of it's Modes, It has the Power of my MXT All Pro when it is in the Prospecting Mode maybe even a bit more ?? I love how you can shorten the shaft so you can use it in Confined areas, The meter seems slower to react compared to what we are use to but if you sweep over the target repeatedly it will ID them sooner But the ID Meter is Spot On and it knows what Targets are for sure, Anyways what do ya think, Oh and I paid 170 Quid for it, And it is still in it's Original Box with the Original Manual,

Enjoy.

Nice scoff RR. Have a 6000/Di Series 2 myself. Did the repairs myself, plus got it for free. Those babys sure are sensitive and spot on with the ID.

Well this thing can pick up a Quarter at about 22 inches and the batteries should last for about 8 to 10 hours but I have found some 10,000 mah "C" Cells for it so they should Triple the normal batteries time,

I can get the 15" Concentric Coil for it and that will add some mega Depth because at the moment it picks up stuff at about 6 feet so that big'un should add a couple of feet to that, It will loose a bit of that in the Ground but it will still Whoop anything on the market today, Also it has a Twin Stacked Ground Balance Fine  / Coarse so that is good Oh and they Do a 5" coil for it too, But Most of the Civil war Relic Guys love them and they say that it can handle even the most severe Ground conditions,

I have worked that I can plug in a counter weight in to the Top end of the shaft so running big coils won't be a problem.
