Does anyone have any information on the old 'Utah Mining and Construction Company' that turned into Pauma Valley Country Club? I am having trouble finding any information linking these two other than a single obituary.

Did UMCC physically(meaning the location) turn into PVCC? Are the homes on the golf course sitting on top of old mine shafts? In the adjacent field, they still do gravel/sand mining and right down the street are world famous tourmaline mines(Pala district) and Palomar Mountain.

Basically, I am wondering if my in-laws front or back yard holds any secrets. I plan on finding out either way but it would be nice to have some base info to work from. Front yard consists of a dirt hill. Back yard the same. A few granite boulders here and there with some quartz sparkles, mostly dirt & clay.

Thanks for any tips!

I think I may have to go to the 'old internet' AKA the library, maybe local historical society or museum. The interwebz have not provided much on this one so far. Tongue
