Hi again;
Still new to this great site. I am almost a full member, then i can see more.  Sad
Has anyone ever been in eastern sierra nevada mountains. near Dog creek.??  I believe you can pan there..Huh?Huh???   Dog town was an old gold mining claim, one of the earliest in the eastern sierras.!!! ( around 1857)
This old ghost town is located near the junction of Clear water and Virginia creeks.
Would appreciate some directions if anyone could help.
             Thanks, and God Bless, Contrygal

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi Gold Digger;
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah we belong to the GPAA. Just digging for any info, and any other places we have not searched.
Have been in so many creeks, streams and rivers.  We are finding the GPAA have a lot of claims that are cleaned out and hard to find even though the guide is a must to have, a lot of the direction signs have been moved or  damaged.
The San Joaquin river is a blessing to us. Only 24 miles from the house. Some good gold,    if they lower the river we can get in there by October, maybe.!!!!
   Thanks for responding, Good luck to you in your travels.!!

Hello Contrygal and Everyone . Here is the link to a great historical map , too big to post on our forum , in my opinion it gives an idea of where to look for gold , "where it has already been found"  !!

HH...... Great....Eugene
