MD'ing/Treasure Hunting is a fun pass time for the person doing it. But is sure boring watching other people just standing there swinging away for hours on end,, and the way that comes across on TV is like watching paint dry. If you notice even the YouTube clips are fairly short just to keep it sort of interesting, even though they could have been out for 3 days solid hunting. note, they only show their best finds and not all the tons of junk that actually comes with it. Also do we really need loads of copycats, un-experienced people dashing around the countryside digging up other people's back yards without permission and leaving dirty great holes everywhere. If MD'ing is to be put on TV then I suggest it is done properly, following the rules and not going at it gun ho as is usually portrayed. It is hard enough getting permissions as it is, without the badpress that TV spins on it to try and make it interesting.
I think because of the above reasons you could count most of us out. But you will get a few people that just want to be on TV for that Fame Factor and these people are not always the best people to be using!
Besides if someone has already found the loot, they are quite unlikely to tell the world. The only interesting part of what you may be doing is showing all the people who have possibly wasted their lives looking for a treasure that may no longer exist, and their life stories hunting for it.
