GPAA has their Nome camp soon. Anyone going? Anyone already been, what did you think? I'm trying to work it out.
Thanks,
R

GPAA looked interesting to me too.
I lived in AK for 30 years and went 'hi banking' and 'sluiced' it in the local creeks.
You don't have to go all the way to Nome.
Along the Hi-way Right of way's in AK you can pan and sluice without worrying about claims.

One summer I had a great time just south of Anchorage, toward Kenai, up on the mountain in Granite Creek. Near Grizzly Creek.
Be sure to get photos so the rest of us can see the sights.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
