Well, I just spent about 45 min in the yard.....found old soda cans and then something I've never seen. Its a rock that has a small (1 inch long by 1/4 in wide) strip that must be iron cause a magnet is attracted to it. Go figure

Thanks Xavier, That's our Jaxon when he was a puppy. He is now about a 1 1/2 years old now, and about 100 lbs. He is a Mastiff/Shepard mix, and soooo smart its scary.

Here is a photo of said rock. The dark brown area is what the magnet is attracted to. Don't think it is a nail because our home is new and this area where we built has been wooded for hundreds of years. As a matter of fact, this was found about a foot deep and about 10 ft. from an old oak tree at least 100+ years old

The photo that you posted is too blurry, but if a magnet is attracted to it then it has to be iron.
