my very first machine was the old red barron Bounty hunter , big old heavy box with a stick and a coil,
but man that old thing found all kinds of good stuff. then i moved on to whites etc. then back to a BH
cause it was lighter than the rest and a lot easier to carry etc, for this old messed body of mine.   
I can't complain though this pioneer 101 has found a lot of great stuff.

Well I personally havent messed with the QD 2 So I can't really say. Did you read Oklestsee's original assement of the Bounty Hunters
and why he chose the BH Tracker IV ? Included below. hopefully that helps.

Jim Originally I started with the BH redbarron years ago then moved up to whites etc. then went back to BH cause at the time the Pioneer 101 was the lightest detector I could find after having multiple shoulder surgeries. I just can't swing the heavy machines anymore.
