Yep!

Here in New Mexico, there a sorta Salmon color.

In Arizona they have a Green Tint to them.

These guys are Special.

Most rattlesnakes , will lift there head and Buzz as they back off if they have time.

These Git,s Lift there head buzz and come to challenge you.

Most Rattlesnakes venom is a Anti Protein Enzyme.  Breaks down the Blood and Tissue.  (Pre Digestive)

Mojave have that and a Neural Toxin that does a job on your heart and breathing.

NOT GOOD! Shocked Shocked

Here in Deming, we had a Jackass that like to keep snakes.

One day he was feeding a small Mojave and it Zapped him on the Thumb.

He called his wife to come get him.

One hour later he was DEAD!    This is a True BS Story!  LOL!

He is a bad little critter and to come out in winter, thats another reason you don't wanna camp out
coz they will come to where it is warm and he might climb in your sleeping bag.
I heard of it happening in OZ

I always welcome snakes into my camp. Over the years I have kinda developed a taste for their sweet white meat. Sort of a cross between frog and turtle. Yummm. Did you know rattlesnake meat sells for $25.00 a pound? Their skins are easy to tan and make nice belts or hatbands. Just soak them in a 50/50 mix of ethyl alcohol and glycerin for a few days.
Really guys, treasure comes in many forms. You would pick up a hundred dollar bill if it happened to slither into your camp, wouldn't you?
