Smiley   Awesome finds, the pig jar is neat, so is there money to be made in old glass containers and such?

Worth, as in beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

I have seen a lot of the bottles, I set aside for others
to pick through, for sale on E-Bay.
Some I am very aware are worth more than others.
The Pig jars sell very well as "Antique" Piggy Banks.
Put a energy water bottle top on it with a slot cut in it and it is a "Bank".
The Colored bottles "Cobalt" for example sell very well.
The deeper blue ones demand a higher price.
Green is another desireable color.
Embossed with "Cork" tops are also a higher price tag item.
Old soda bottles, are a good ticket item.
I personally collect the old candy figurines and perfume bottles I find.
Not the Avon or whiskey bottles but the pre 50s stuff.
Well Wolfey, does this answer your question?

We are located in the DFW area you know the "SUPER BOWL" place!
We are a group that get together from all over the area from
Denton Ft. Worth and Dallas areas.
The Ft Worth group invited me out there to their dig this weekend.

Imagine that, the spot myself and Roy Boy started digging and got
lots of people to join us in digging there, I am invited to dig there.
I am considering it but I'll have to take it up with my hunny.
She tells me we don't spend enough time together.  Kiss
I tell her she can go but that only slings fit into the proverbial shan. Angry
I guess we don't spend enough time together arguing. Violent
She knows if I ain't digging I ain't happy.  Cry
If I'm not digging bottles it's metal detecting or fossils or arrowheads. Detecting

I don't know if Flasherr is going to make it or not he is scheduled for some surgery soon.
He will probably reply to this posting.
If any one else wants to go get in on the boat then let's hit it.
Lots of area to dig and lots of stuff to find. That is how Flasherr got in on the spot.
And yes we do have a good time except we need Sunday to recover.
Lot's of excercise digging holes. A lot of hard work and honest treasures.

As much as i would love to be there digging and endless hole im going to be out for at least 6 weeks due to surgery. i hope yall find lots of good stuff but leave a few buried treasures for me. I will be back as soon as i can.

As far as value of bottles that is a tough one you can have a bottle 100+ years old but be worth less than a dollar. Bottles are just something you have to play with for awhile to figure out the value. If you buy books buy ones specific to bottles. and then these are just a guide some are worth way more and others not worth near what they say.

Damn dude you got some awesome bottles there. I like'em.
You posted: Did we have some you-tube videos?
Yes and no, they are somebody else digging at our spot and I wont link
them because they are of someone else, me Roy boy and flassherr are not in them.
Imagine that me and Roy started that hole and now we are the ones who get left out.
I guess we will just have to get some videos of our own and leave them out!

aww mate that sucks! I hate it how people do things like that!!

Yeah my bottles are ok...I do have some nice ones but most are a bit sick looking in one way or another...I'm only just starting out again so as I get nice new ones I replace the crap I don't want...eventually aiming for just local ones from my town as we had a bottle plant here for a few years and some beautiful bottles were made.

And yes...get ya camera out and start filming...I know it makes ya feel weird filming yaself but it's great for us buggers with too much time on our hands as it takes us all along on your adventure!

Cheers
MSB
