Go Up Go Down

I may have posted this before but I am very proud of it so here it goes again....
There is not anywhere on this forum where die cast toys are pointed out as of interest.
I found this tractor in the area where I found the Hoof Clanger.
When found it was in an area where ash had hardened and encased it completely.
It did not take much effort to clean it but when I did I was amazed in how well it was preserved. The area where it was dug out was devoid of oxygen and was moist. I believe that is what kept it from rusting into a glob of unrecognizable metal.

BTW: It took first place in "Find of the Month" at my treasure club.
My wife was laughing at me, after I cleaned it up, she caught me playing with it in the floor.  Grin
It still rolls!

Perhaps we should ask Christian to make a board for die cast toys

Why? Aren't they diecast? I suppose if you are a purist, a date test could apply but HotWheels are getting close to the test for antiques. But then again, so am I.

Don't think so..... some of the early ones are worth quite a bit now especially the "redline" ones....

Yes they are die casts,  that is why I want an opinion on the subject.
I do have to admit there is more pride in finding die casts that pre-dates 1960.
Also "Tootsies" they are diecast as well. I got bags full of both.
BTW: If you find the right "Hotwheels" there is some good money in them. Even in average condition . There are Clubs dedicated into re-conditioning them.
Thanks for bringing Age up.
I had something about age and memory to put in here but I forgot what it was!!!!!! Huh?
Here's a Manoil die cast I found under an old house's porch.

Well I'll be damn!!!!
An honest and REAL OPINION not just a post.
Yes, the redlines are desireable but finding the right one can be a little difficult.
I have found garage sales to be a good source for the older ones.
They just don't know what they've got.....sometimes.
