Poison bottle,
This is a small one.
We find them from time to time.
There are a lot of things I have not posted that come out of that place.
We will be going there soon as it cools down a little more.
We usually have a group dig there and have somewhat of a competition for the most marbles.
A little exausting at time but fun none the less.

I love dumps....and in a lot of ways they can be the great equalizer.   The newbie has just about as much chance as an old hand at finding something good (especially if they take the time to learn how to read the surface signs and to date areas of the dump).   That a good looking bottle (and not a bad looking ring either)

Well BA the botle is one of many I have come out of there with and I am excited by them every time! I have several sizes that span a time frame from the late 1800"s" to the mid 1930"s", they one of my favorite finds. I have even found one that was kicked out by an armordillo, along with that single eyed Bennington marble you can see in the background with my pics.
I am not sure about equilizer it depends on effort put forth. I have taken someone who found only one marble and he would not have found that one if I had not pointed it out to him. Not v ery observant and no effort in digging for them. He apparently felt they would jump out of the dirt and into his collecting bag.
As far as the ring it is a Tungston that my wife purchased for me for our 25th wedding anniversary a few years back. I have one tungston ring I have found. Just one.
In comparison I have 80+ gold rings to one tungston, over 10 year period.

Have a good day and thanks for your reply.

Hello,
Are any of you in Massachusetts? We are producing a new archaeology show on the Discovery Channel and want to feature bottleheads, privy/garbage diggers and anyone who has found something historic and interesting.
Thanks!
