   Because Gold Emits NO Light?  They use it on space objects because it absorbs IR or Heat.    Visors on helmets are flashed with gold.

Hate to disagree with you Homie, but the reason why they use it on space objects is because it REFLECTS IR (Heat), NOT because it absorbs it.  Look it up.
