Winter hunting

Glee, welcome to these forums.

Beaches erode constantly and you may find that winter storms reveal and expose deeper, more valuable targets. For the most part, thing heavier than sand remain where they are when wind is the eroding element. What it is water, they can move a bit but unless the water movement is very violent the heavier than sand items don't stray too far. Of course, violent storms make a mockery of this advice.

Hunt beaches the year round. You won't be sorry.

very good advice GP1950 winter is one of the better times to search the beaches because of the sand movement.
During the summer months sands tend to build up on the beach and foreshore for this reason the goodies are often beyond the reach of detectors including the more powerful P.I. units.  Summer although it is ideal can be frustrating because of the sand build up but there are always good places to look for especially if you know where the rips are but be careful detecting in rips can be very dangerous if your in the water.  good luck
