I have been at this hobby since 1978 and working fresh water sites since then. Thanks for the Advice, topic closed!!!!!!!

Really? That's it? You had 3 very experienced moderators here offering you advice and the best you can do is chew us out for daring to mention that you appear not to care for any of it in your reply?

That's never going to do you any good, Dan. You only acknowledged ONE moderator's advice even though you received a bucket load of good advice. And you still defended your choice after two of us advised you against your choice. So be it. The next time you ask for advice, you may just see zero responses. Don't you dare complain about that when it happens, mate.

Well, Dan, you've had the last word and you've cleared up your position here quite nicely. You're just too good, too smart and way too clever for us all. We bow to your expert knowledge.

Dan we have been very tolerant of you pushing your radio show and hacking your wares here in fact more tolerant then we are with most so you have no reason to take shots at GD are any mod. You are acting like a child you ask a question did not like the answers so now its our fault. WHY?

I have two underwater machines. I have dived on wrecks that were 300 years old and hunted beaches around the world. I know what I'm talking about.

Dan, I still would advise you not to ask a question if you do not want an answer or if you intend to argue about that advice. That's not social and I pointed it out to you. You don't like it? Well, people who behave badly seldom do like their behavior being pointed out to them. Get used to it. I see no contrition in your tone so you will be getting more and more of that. Unless, of course, you start realizing that what you believe about me might be wrong. I spent my time, which could have been used in many other ways, to give you an honest answer to your question. You chose to argue with me.

I type at over 120 words per minute so I do post a lot here (9000+ posts). I am a writer by trade and a detectorist by hobby. I am also retired from several careers and volunteer as a moderator here. I offer advice from decades of experience. You don't have to bow down and worship moderators but when three of us come along and offer you sound advice, at least offer some clue that you understood what we were discussing. Coming back and saying you found one that got good reviews is a slap in the face for our time and effort in helping you. Not only that but you selected a scoop who's only reviewer is the guy who makes them and sells them. What did you think he'd say about the scoop?

This stops now, Dan. Have the last word and I will then lock this topic. Clearly you didn't want any real advice. You appear to have wanted nothing more than for us to pat you on the back for your lovely "new" scoop discovery. Gee. None of us would have thought to use a scoop at the beach.

Digging up a post from 5 years ago when you weren't a member yet or involved in the conversation and then criticizing a moderator is a sure way to get into trouble here. Ken, you are far more damaging to yourself than you realize.
