I always pocket whatever I dig up, whether it's coins, jewelry, or pulltabs.  That way, if someone suspiciously says they just saw me dig up "their mom's ring she lost last month" that they mysteriously can't describe, I can say "Oh no, all I found are these pulltabs." Wink

Yeah, well I won't go into detail about the guy wearing a string thong who just HAD to come up and talk to me last time I was searching the lakeshore...  That was a sight I really didn't need to see!  Seriously! No no!

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I'm just saying it's not just strange WOMEN on the beaches!  They definitely have their fair share of strange MEN, too!  (Equal opportunity weirdos!) Grin

the correct reply to did you find something? --is as follows --- why did you lose something ?-- if so what was it and can you discribe it fully please, that way if I find it I'll let you know. --- put the onus upon them to fully detail what it looks like and when & where lost -- give no hints or ideals --these tired old "give me" gme is a old school hustler trick you show em it --they see and say its mine -gimme --you say no --they get a cop say what they "saw" looks like & then cops say let me see it --once it "matches" he says "fork it over buddy"
