This simple accessory will make fanning the bottom a whole lot easier and move a lot more sand. What is it you ask? It's called a ping pong paddle. You can buy them cheap at Walmart or make your own as I did out of just about anything. I made mine from lexan and put an aluminum tube handle on it with a lanyard coming out the end of the handle to hang on your BC or around your wrist. Simple but effective!

I used them while I was in Greece. You could not have a detector. Great

  Absolutely handy! I found also that drilling a few 1/2 inch holes helps  reduce resistance if you get excited like me and don't want to wear yourself out....
