Our draft is 3' also but you will have another 4' give or take of blower!
Everyone has their own ideas and opinions as to where the remaining rest, some say as far north as Jacksonville while others say futher south of Ft. Pierce! No one know for sure. Sabastian to Ft Pierce is the best known locations for the 1715. I personally believe a few more are around the Cape, one in deeper waters. I have lobster dived many years in this area with fellow divers and one diver telling me what he thought he saw were bowling balls at ? depth. Still running with this one. Bowling balls in my mind are Cannon balls and large ones!

I like your efficient and neat diving boat. Looks ideal for getting in close to the low water reefs. What size engine is it running and prop size? How deep can you blow a hole in the sand? Are you a sub leasee to the Fishers? Hope you don't mind the questions. I'm always interested in how things are working.

Hey Jimi, I thought the Pandion was Bob Weller's boat.

Salvor - It was Weller's boat, Capt. Brads now (his right hand man) he purchased from Bob a few years before he passed over the bar. This boat has seen alot of treasure through the years. We hope it will see alot more!

Hey Everybody, I'm sorry I didn't get right back to this, but my computer broke down and I'm on a back-up until I get it repaired. To answer one question, I worked with a partner under contract with Treasure Salvors from 1994 through 1996.
When weather didn't permit going out I metal detected the beaches. (All of them). Most of the advice I've seen on this thread is both good and accurate. If there are any specific questions, I'll answer to the best of my ability. I just don't know the availability of the computer, since I have to borrow time.

Aquanut, how did you do on the beaches back then? I would expect it was about the same as now , that when there were storms, there might be finds, other wise little finding of anything good. Have you just not had any interest in working on a sublease anymore, if not why? Thanks

JCP,
There was a good storm when the hurrricane came over Vero. It was either minimum or downgraded to a tropical that hit with good NE winds. That was the best, other than once when a continuous week long strong wind blew from the NE. It cut the beaches right down to the hardpan in the beaches below Sebastion Inlet and exposed all kinds of stuff. I'd say the beaches are pretty much the same now. It has it's ups and downs, but there is still as much treasure to be found under the right conditions.

Looks like the weather this summer didn't turn out so good for the wreck hunters. I been watching most the season and it has been a summer with too many small storms which have churned up the water quite often and has hurt underwater visibility also. I guess we probably won't be hearing of many good finds this year.
