Go Up Go Down

The attached pictures shows a piece that was found in a pond in Germany that had been drained.  The artifact was found with a metal detector after the ground had dried. I bet the lakes, streams, and ponds in Germany are loaded with artifacts from the Nazi period.  After the war nobody wanted to be associated with that period.

I agree totally Dean The past is something that motivates all treasure hunters wether it is good or bad.  Remembering and preserving the past is the key to not having the bad things having to be relived.

in germany "nazi items" were outlawed --things with nazi markings can not be sold or owned in germany --

I must correct you, cause I live near Germany.
It's not forbidden to collect or sell such items.

If your visiting Germany, go on one of the flea markets (in German Flohmarkt).
There you can find a lot of people that sell uniforms, medals or everything else of this stuff.

In some towns there are flea markets in a period of 2-4 weeks.

Recommendable if you collect this kind of items, and if your boring to pay the exorbitant prices of the traders.
