Go Up Go Down

 Detecting Hi,
I am travelling from the UK to Hamilton Hill, Perth Wa end of July 2013, & staying  a week near Kuta in Bali too, is there any  clubs near by in Perth that I could join as a guest for a few digs or is there any detectorists that I could go on a dig with?.
There does not seem to be any current information on beach detecting in Bali, & would like to know if I can beach detect in Bali.
I enjoy beach detecting in the UK, & have done a few land digs.
Started detecting January 2013, so my L plates are a bit red still, but have been lucky to find over 100 coins in total, an Anglo Saxon strap end which is 800 -  1000 years old, my oldest coin to date is 1603 James 1st Silver shilling.
I do hope someone can assist with my queries.
Good luck & happy hunting everyone.
Susan.

There is a club down south of Perth. They are actually in the phone book under Metal Detecting Club with the president's phone number listed.

The beaches are very lucrative for coins, not so good for jewelry. Be aware that the law in Western Australia is inflexible when it comes to finding of jewelry. You must turn it in to the police who will voucher it for you and you can claim it after 90 days if the owner doesn't come forward. Hunt very early in the day to avoid beachgoers. I often found $100 a day in coins on a Monday morning. I'd hunt from 0400 hours until probably noon or so and consider it a good day.

I no longer live in Perth and kind of miss those days at the beach.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
