just thought I'd add that I don't have any experience thunting in China, I just read the comment

If i'm not mistaken, metal detecting on a China beach is punishable by death by firing squad. Then the surviving family has to pay for the bullets!

and it kinda freaked me out. Good luck with your research and let us know what you find out.  Smiley

Go detecting at night or in the rain with an underwater detector. My SeaHunter II work very well.

Great Pics but one must remeber that China is a 3rd world country and most of the population are poor unlike other countries.
However, in recent years the economy is growing and people might have more to spend so theres a big question mark over what you might and might not find there.  However it is a detectorists paradise if you could get your detector passed customs and immigration first.  No use going there and having your machine confiscated.  Undecided  Shocked Grin

as for china, well I would not call It a 3rd world country, the problem is the coin shooting, the largest coin is the 1Rmb,is ca 10euro cent,it is also in a bank note form, largest bank note 100Rmb ca 10euro or US15,so you need to find a lot of coins,so Its not what I call coin shooters paradice, plus the beach would be very clean, they dont wast nothing, every pice of plastic metal and paper is collected,I worked there this year march to may, pipe fitting and welding, any way they used to wait for the smallest pices of scrap metal, they would even collect the small left overs (stubbs) from welding wire.all in all great people and amazeing culture,,,,loved it....mike

Nice pic's mikek, i guess if they dont have much money they wouldnt have any jewelry to wear either. But it would be hard to find a ring or necklace lost in the water without a detector. They may be to smart to wear the jewelry to the beach, unlike the rich americans. Happy Huntin....DW

Not sure of the laws there, but make sure you get a good answer before you try it!  We'd all feel kinda bad if you're next posting on here comes 15 years from now because you've been sentenced to a Chinese work camp!
