I saw this trick at a local beach that I thought was relly slick. After you get a solid hit in the sand, as you dig with a plastic scoop. Take each scoop full and pass it through the search coil until it sounds off. Then dump the one scoop full into a small 6" sand sifter, like in a childs beach toy set, and shake the loose sand out leaving only the target. This gentleman had the little sifter on a retractable cord to the side of his back pack. Nice, simple and easy I thought. Idea
