Looks like a well constructed scoop.

I was looking around online lately at some scoops and saw that one and wondered how well it would do with its flat bottom and flat sides. My last 2 scoops were a RTG 6 inch Monster scoop and a STEALTH SUNSPOT 720i. Both were good, but I was having trouble getting down to targets before the waves would fill in the hole with sand and shells. I need to know of a scoop that will allow me to dig down quick to retrieve items before waves wash the sand and shell back down into the hole. I had to leave plenty of targets unrecovered because I just couldn't dig them up before waves washed sand and shells, etc. back into the hole. That long-nosed stainless scoop that RTG says is a wet sand/ dry sand scoop for hunting up on the beach, may just be a winner at getting down quick to retrieve items before that sand and other debris fills up the hole. Great But I don't know if it will withstand all the pressures of surf hunting???

Let me answer the all..  Here's the link Smiley

I have used the scoop about 10 times.. So far it's taken my abuse. It's very solid. She is a great digger both on the beach and underwater. lol Targets are always a pain to get in the surf, I have used/tried a few other high quality scoops with about the same result. The Ontario scoop gets down deep pretty quick. The only thig I have had to do with it so far is retighten the bolts on the handle, once.
Hope that covered. Good hunting I'm off to Sebastian/ Vero. I hope something got kicked up on shore Amen

I know this thread is slightly aged now, but after this period of time, I'd like to get your feedback...

Great looking scoop there no doubt, so after these past few months of use, how's the weight lugging it around?

It seems S.S. would hold up quite well on the salt beaches, so any comparisons to any of the aluminum scoops?

Sebastian & Vero beach, FL you need a good scoop like that, the sand there is so dense and heavy...I miss that area, only been there twice, but so much opportunity to hit some great finds.

Thanks and the video was very nice too.
 Great

PJ
