Big Brother (Minelab) is organizing through his rep (Miners Den) a metal detecting day on the 18 of May in Melbourne called
Go Minelabbing
Also in Sydney and Gold cost. for more info

Dang, that sounds like a don't miss if you're anywhere near the neighborhood event.....too bad Australia's not on my current travel schedule or I'd have to show up (especially since they will have "loaner" detectors available).
