                 I have never tried gold hunting since the detector is not really designed for it. Also you would have to travel some distance to have a go. I have tried the beach at Bribie and Bargara with moderate success. Also tried a few of the local parks again with moderate success. Hey guys, anybody interested in meeting up for a beach comb session?
I tried Suttons beach at Redcliffe yesterday with no luck, but still want to get out and make use of my crappy kmart detector until I can afford something a bit more elustrious.

Thanks for your interest in joining us. However, at the moment we are restricted to the Caboolture/Bribie Island area. I do not own a car and due to a neuropathy in my legs am unable to drive any distance. Geoff has Chronic Fatigue and is only able to detect in mornings when able.  I have tried a few of the local parks and schoolyards with moderate success. Went over to Bribie some time ago without luck. Heavy recent surfs may improve our chances.  Probably the same as anywhere you go, depends a bit on if anyone else has the same idea, and how much there is to be found. I enjoy the hunt and always ready for a good find.
