Whats wrong with being an Arkie... up here, someone would be sure to ask you /are you braggin or complainin?/

I don't know how you would rate me, except I was born here, so I guess Im a Canuck.... My maternal gma was born in Viola Kansas; my maternal gpa was born in Springfield, Missouri; my paternal gpa was born in Cedar Rapids Iowa and my paternal gma was born near Decatur Texas.  How they all came together, here, is a weird story! But they all came to Canada in 1906, so I would like to know.... what was happening in 1906... was it a depression?

Guess Im also looking for a hunting partner, now. I cant  seem to find out, anywhere.

Hay Bryan,

Aint nothin wrong with bein an Arkie. We caint help it... lol

I bet you have an interestin family tree. There is probably
ancesters of yours that were into all kinds of stuff.

As far as 1906 goes, the economy was not in bad of shape at
that time.

During that time the U.S. had a Laissez Faire economy that was
controlled by the free market's "invisible hand- Adam Smith."

The Laissez Fair economy was much like the Bush and tha GOPs
strategy where tha players (banks,Etc) were given a more free
hand to run the economy.

Ultimately the Laissez Faire economy failed with the Great
Depression in the 30's, leading to a mixed economy (an open
market with some government intervetion).

We seem to just keep makin tha same mistakes....  Embarrassed

The SanFransisco fire happened around then.

It must have a good year to go to Canada.
