Go Up Go Down

When I was a kid (50 years ago) we lived just outside of Calico (Probably spelled that wrong)Rock. I remember visiting with my older relatives some pre civil war cemetaries in the area but don't recall any old home sites. I would like to visit the area again this summer and do a little relic hunting. Does anyone have access to old plat or township maps of the area? I have found our old house on another trip but I guess I was just too young to have any idea of a general direction we took when we left the house.

Thanks

Junker Wise

Hey Junker I suggest you check with the library when you get there. Their web site shows they have a big collection of maps looks like a good starting point to me.

And Welcome from Galveston Island

Thanks! I didn't think about the library in such a small town. I have spent many happy days and bleary nights on the sea wall. Is lady liberty still standing on the balcony of the bar that faces the sea wall? I could swear she spoke to me one night. Ha!

Thanks Again

Junker

She called me one night here in Australia. Too bad she is time zone challenged. It was 4:00am here.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
