 Detecting Hello Eveyone-
I am headed toward Fort Morgan,Al. Any tips, suggestions, etc would be appreciated! I do realize that any where near the State park is a big NONO! However there is alot of other land. I also know that permission is everything. There is alot of history there and the beaches are very clean. Any info would be helpful. I am flooded out by the Mississippi River and my metal detector is getting cabin fever!!

Good luck - try the local city parks for sure. I don't think that there are any ordinances on that. Of course large spreads of farm land with a few old trees scattered around - then look around by the trees. The farm-hands would take their lunch break undneath the shady tree for a break, and so possibly would drop a coin out of their pockets. Since you said that you'd be near a beach that's a great opportunity for you there too!

Hey Zul32,
Just wanted to share this with you- don't over look pecan tree areas. The pecans are picked up often in cooler weather. Therefore hands are
Findoldstuff in and out of pockets can yield  rings and coins. Then I remember as kid my Father sending me up the trees to shake the limbs to drop more pecans. I was often hanging upside down. I lost my best knife that way! Plus change. I have found so much silver in pecan orchards. Thanks for replying.
